Spaatz helps with Laundry

Does not excell at folding

Spaatz likes to hang out with me when I'm folding clothes. Especially when the stuff is fresh out of the dryer. Then he likes to get right in there. I always enjoy having company when I'm doing mundane tasks. It doesn't get much more mundane than folding laundry. The big problem is that I have to keep taking away his snuggling material, so I feel a little bad. He'll keep moving as the pile gets smaller, but eventually he'll be forced to move on to some other project. That's Spaatz, always in the thick of things.

Peaches is my Teddydog

Teddydog
Miss Peaches is also known as the Teddydog. Kinda like a teddy bear except much better. Teddy bears are mere stuffed animals. Peach is the fulfilment of any kids dream, because she's warm and cuddly and will give kisses upon request. Real bears while I'm sure they're warm and appear cuddly, they get huge and will rip your face off. Miss Peaches might go outside and kill something (yesterday another snake) she will not be getting any bigger, and her most aggressive move towards you might be to "fluff" up your lap before settling down for a nap. That's whats great about small dogs, dachshunds in particular, they always keep that puppy appeal because of their size, you just don't have to clean up after them quite as much.

She's Got My Number

Sweet Peaches
Miss Peachy has got my number and she knows it. They say that dachshunds own their people, not the other way around. She certainly knows how to communicate. Its not a growl, it has a higher pitch to it. This little RrRrRrRrR sound she makes at me when she wants something, usually to be patted or a belly rub. Often by 8 o'clock if I'm not awake she will make her little noise, which is the signal for AM belly rubs. I was sitting at the computer, I hear her, look down, she wants to sit in my lap. I obliged, she has me well trained. One night as we were sitting watching TV, she is looking at me very intently. I picked her up, looking at her face to face, I said, "do you want something Peachy". She looked at me, looked at the door, looked at me, looked at the door. You want to go out? I said. That was a definite "yes" as she took off for the door, her partners in crime right behind her.

AWESOME DACHSHUND PHOTOS!!

Luncheon Weenie
You know, I wish I could take credit for this one, but I can't. I don't know who took it or the dogs names, but I know this is a priceless photo of a wienerdog who's not too sure if he's on the menu. If anyone knows who took it I would be glad to give them credit. My blog is predominately about my dogs, Miss Peachy, Spaatz ,Foozeball and Watson. Every once in a while I see something that I must share. This one is worthy of a lol.
